Willow Oak Seedlings
Willow Oak Seedlings have unique leaves which are different looking than most oaks. Their leaves are more narrow than typical oaks and of course look more like those from a willow tree. These trees grow quickly and are very popular as shade trees which line streets or parks. It is tolerant of drought and pollution and can withstand insects and pests too. Their leaves produce interesting shade patterns and a beautiful, yellow autumn show. Willow Oaks display strength and have good wind resistance. They produce acorns for squirrels and chipmunks to enjoy. The average height is 60-70 feet, although some have been known to grow as tall as 120 feet. They are found throughout most of the eastern half of the United States both north and south.
Willow Oak seedlings are great to plant and are a wonderful way to start several trees at one time. They are also acidic and well-drained soils. They look amazing during the summer, and spring as the gorgeous green leaves are displayed and during the fall when the leaves will begin to change to brightly colored ones. They do not take a lot of maintenance and care to thrive and become very healthy trees.
