Open your plants, and inspect the same day received. You need to report any problems with your order within 3 days. Plant promptly - bare root plants need to be planted within 2-3 days unless there are weather issues. Keep roots moist and covered with plastic until they can be planted, and store in a cool place. Water daily for the first week after planting.

River Birch Seedlings is a Fast Growing Deciduous

River Birch Seedlings is a fast-growing, deciduous tree that will grow in zones 4-9. It is native to the Eastern United States from Minnesota and New Hampshire down to Texas and Florida. It can grow as much as 13-24 inches per year. When it has matured, the River Birch will reach a height of 40-70 feet with a spread of 40-60 feet. It performs best when it planted in full sun to partial shade. This tree needs a minimum of 4 hours a day of unfiltered, direct sunlight.
This low maintenance tree thrives in acidic, sandy, moist, well-drained soil. It does tolerate some moderate flooding, as well as some drought conditions. Do NOT plant it is very alkaline soil. It is typically found along lake shores and on floodplains. The River Birch Seedlings has leathery green leaves that measure about 2-3 inches long. They are diamond shaped with double-toothed margins alternately arranged. The leaves turn a beautiful yellow color in the fall. In May or June, catkins will begin to appear. Catkins are cylindrical, thin flower cluster that have no petals. They are either green or brown. The catkins will mature in May to June and give way to a large number of small nutlets. The River Birch has a very unusual bark that curls and peels.
