Orchard Grass is adaptable
Orchard Grass is a clump of tall growing grass that can grow in the colder seasons of fall and winter. It is one that can tolerate shade and tolerate drought conditions. This grass has been recorded on the books of growing in the US before the 1700’s. It is a fast grower and matures in the early spring. It cannot tolerate and grow in wet areas and soil like other native grasses, but the roots love to stay wet in order to grow to its fullest. The Orchard grass looks very similar to grass.
Orchard Grass is drought resistant and can tolerate heat pretty well. This grass can be groomed, cut or mowed to your height. The orchard grass can be grown with alfafa or clover for maximum production. It can grow up to 4 inches tall and is a fast grower. It cannot be called another plant because it has a look of its own. In Europe its called cockfoot.
