We dig plants when your order is received, and ship immediately via US Priority Mail. You will receive a tracking number via email when plants are shipped. All plants are packed to be safe in their packages for up to 3 days after receipt.
How We Protect Your Plants For Transit
We sell only bare root plants. For superior protection for plants in transit, we dip the roots in tera-sorb silicone gel to retain ample moisture for transit and surround with plastic.
Upon Receipt Of Your Plants
Open your plants, and inspect the same day received. You need to report any problems with your order within 3 days. Plant promptly - bare root plants need to be planted within 2-3 days unless there are weather issues. Keep roots moist and covered with plastic until they can be planted, and store in a cool place. Water daily for the first week after planting.

This plant, also commonly referred to as the blue cardinal flower, is a perennial plant that grows in native habitats with damp soil such as wetlands, swamps, and riverbanks. The plant forms clumps which have two-lipped flowers that range in color from light to dark blue. The three lobes of the plant's lower lip are more prominent than two nodes appearing on the plant's upper lip. The flowers rise from the plant's upper leaf axils and form dense clusters on top of the unbranched, leafy stalks. This plant typically grows between two and three feet tall and blooms in the late summer. The Blue Lobelia is nothing short of simply stunning. It does very well in window boxes and plant pots as well as in gardens. It typically will bloom beautiful violet blooms in the fall, spring, and summer. The Blue Lobelia is perfect for keeping soil erosion under control and can grow to a height of up to 12 inches. It is a deficient maintenance plant as well.
