Hydrangeas

Hydrangeas are beautiful and look amazing in any garden or landscape area. They are hardy and versatile and will bring color and diversity to any area. Here are some great picks for planting in your landscape this season. The Oak Leaf Hydrangea is a great choice. It will grow best in climate zones five through nine and will be anywhere from a small 3 feet tall to six feet, depending on conditions. It can grow in either full sunlight or a partially shaded environment. It prefers soil that is well drained and slightly acidic but can tolerate some alkaline soils as well. It will show it colors from spring up until the early fall months of the year, and the blooms are quite magnificent. The flowers are a bright white or can be cream colored and is perfect for creating a focal point in your garden area. You can also use this to border walkways or driveways if you want. The Snow Hill Hydrangea is another great selection. This bush prefers to grow in zones 3-9 and can get three to five feet tall and as wide.
