I Just Received Dead Plants-We ship dormant bare-root plants. They have no foliage, greenery, or blooms. The dormant stage they are not in full leaf or flower and do look dead, but they are not. Please plant them, and in the springtime, they will green out and be very nice. We offer a one-year unconditional warranty on every plant we sell to ensure all the plants we ship will be alive. Your plants are not dead. We dig every plant fresh and ship within 24 hours of digging them. All our plants are inspected before shipping also.
My Perennials, Groundcovers or Ferns Have Not Came Up/ Tree Have Not Greened Out- When you transplant bare-root plants, they will go dormant (like in winter months and not grow nor product tops or foliage) until the following spring. We offer a one year warranty to ensure our customer's they are alive. Trees will not leaf or green out until usually the last week of April also because we ship dormant plants.
How Do You Ship Plants? We dig ever plant fresh, dip roots in terra sorb, a moisture-rich gel and surround with moisture protectant plastic. All plants packaged are in accordance to the American Nurseryman Association Standards, and all plants are packaged to last in transit at least ten days safe We put in corrugated boxes and ship all plant materials US Mail Priority.
Where Is my order? If you placed an order for Fall delivery, please make note we do not start our fall shipping season until all plants goe dormant (winter state). Dormancy is between the end of October and the 2nd week in November. You will receive an email notification once your order ships out with a tracking # once it ships out. If you've planted an order for asap shipping and it's been longer than ten days, please email email@example.com and give them your name and order# and a rush will be put on your order. Weather does permit us digging plants, and since all plants are dug fresh and shipped, rain and snow sometimes delay digging.
Where Is Your Nursery Located- Can I Pick up My Order I Place?- We are located near Mcminnville Tennessee 37301, the nursery capital of the world. We have different fields all over Tennessee we collect our plants from and take them to the nearest packaging facility for shipping. We have no storefront, we are online-only, but you are welcome to pick up your orders if you'd put a note in the checkout and we will call you when your order is ready and refund shipping.

I Got A Tracking # For My Order, and There's No Further Information- It takes 24 hours for tracking information to populate on usps.com. If it's been longer than 36 hours and still no updates, please send us an email alerting us and we will either reship your plants or put a tracer on the existing order and make sure it gets to you in a safe and timely manner.
I Ordered Blue Blooming Plants and Got Red- We do reserve the right to substitute, especially if its' the same species and we are out of a particular color. However, you have one full year to return plants you are not satisfied with for a full credit. Do You Offer Any Coupons or Free Shipping? We offer things like this in our slower season of hot summer months but not usually in the busy season. We price our plants at low sub grower wholesale prices, and there's not a large enough margin for us to offer these incentives as retail outlets do.
Why Have Your Prices Gone Up on Some Things and Down On Others? We can not control things happening to plants like blight, crop failure, or disease. When you see a plant's price go down, the crop done exceptionally well and we didn't lose any of that specific crop. When prices increase on particular items, there is a valid reason, and our prices are firm, and we do not guarantee our prices from day today.
Where and Who Do You Ship To? We ship to homeowners and business to business in all states in the US except New York. We offer lower prices for bulks orders, and our large quantity ordering is wholesale prices and small quantities are sub retail and still lower than most online nurseries due to us being the grower source.
I Received My Plants & Can't Plant Them Right Away, What Do I Need To Do? Store your plants in a cool place and leave the plastic on the roots. Water the plants at least once a week (the roots) and cover them back up with plastic they came packaged in. They will be okay as long as they do not freeze or are subject to excessive heat.
I Live In A Much Cooler Climate Than Tennessee, Will Your Plants Live In My Zone? Absolutely! We have seed sources for all zones to enable us to grow and ship plants that will thrive in each zone, warmer and colder than our zone 7.

When Is The Best Time To Plant? Anytime! We sell dormant plants year-round, so if we are shipping a product, it's safe to ship. For example. Trees, shrubs, and evergreens ships only in dormant months of Nov- April. If we are shipping specific plants in a particular season, it's super safe to plant then.
How Soon After I Place An Order Will It Ship Out? It depends on what the product is, what time of year it is, and orders placed before yours. We like to ship out "now shipping" items within ten days, but we are a very busy nursery, and we ship thousands of orders per year, so this depends on weather and many things. Some items don't ship but in particular seasons and they are specified on each plant the months we ship.

How Much Is Shipping? It's very affordable and ranges from 9-15% of order total, depending on your delivery zone. It's also calculated online prior to checking out.

Do you charge a restocking fee for orders canceled? We do charge a 20% replanting fee for cancellations. We will not cancel an order if it's been given out to the crew to dig.
We offer a 3-day warranty after receival to report any shortages or problems with all orders. This gives the customer ample time to unpack and plant all plants in order to verify all plants are there and check for problems.
REPLACEMENT AND IN-STORE CREDIT WARRANTY We offer a 1-year replacement for 40% of the original cost of any plant. This is an "at cost" price for digging, packaging, box fees, and reshipping. Plants can also be returned within one full year for an in-store credit if a retail quantity was ordered under 100 plants per variety. We do not offer return or in-store credits on wholesale quantities of over 100 plants per variety, but you can pay 40% of the original cost for replacements.
DAMAGED PLANTS Do not open damaged boxes, refuse the shipment, or you will be responsible for it. If the carrier has left boxes at your door, return them unopened and reject them and we will replace.
NO REFUNDS We offer no refunds on live plants but in-store credit for those that qualify within this warranty.
ARRIVE ALIVE GUARANTEE We ship dormant plants, no leaves, foliage, or blooms. They are not dead. Please plant them, and they will bloom out the following spring. To prove you have received plants that are alive, simply scratch the bark, and if you see a white or a greenish-white color, they are alive. Dead plants have brown or black interior inside the bark (see below image for instructions). Some perennials and fern species will not come up until the following spring, so this is why we offer a 1-year warranty to prove our plants are alive. We also dig all plants fresh and ship immediately and have inspection certification on them, so they are very much so alive when dug and shipped out.
RETURNS Do not take it upon yourself to return plants without prior authorization. Customer service has a different address to send back plants to. Quantities of 10 or more plants or trees per variety cannot be returned because they are priced at wholesale and cannot be returned. CHARGEBACKS We immediately report all chargebacks to the three major credit bureaus as delinquent accounts. This will effect the cardholder's credit tremendously. We also charge a $250.00 fee for each chargeback filed, and all accounts will be turned over to collections.
SUBSTITUTIONS We reserve the right to substitute any plant or tree for an equal or higher value if we are sold out of the species ordered and/or it is no longer available. For no substitutions, please make us a note in checkout stating "No Subs," and we will honor this and credit for anything we are out of.
CANCELLATION OF ORDERS We process orders very fast during regular business hours. If you've placed an order chances are it's gone to the fields to dig, and we can not cancel once it's been dug. However, you can give us a call to see, and we will be happy to cancel if it's not been dug already. If we can cancel an order, a 20% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund due to the time and cost we have it researching the order and stopping production of it being dug.
REFUSING DELIVERY OF AN ORDER We work diligently digging orders and shipping them. We will not be responsible for any refusals of delivery of our plants, and we will not issue in-store credits or reshipments if you refuse your live plants, no exceptions.
The "Dormant" Season, when plants do not have leaves, foliage or Blooms is when we ship Bare Root Stock
Below (left) is an example of how our bare root crepe myrtles or any trees will look when we ship them. They will be dormant, without foliage. Plant these trees in cool weather and in the spring (right) here's a picture of how these trees will look (when planted and cared for properly) the following spring.

We do not ship grasses in colder months due to the tops being gone. Also, we will not ship a grass species without being able to identify it, as these are grown in large fields with other species of carex and other grasses, it is best to wait for warmer months when positive identification is possible.
How To Store Bare Root Plants Until Planting Time
Trees & Shrubs (Including Fruit Trees, Berry plants, Native Plants also)
When you receive your trees or shrubs you will need to open them right away and remove the plastic from the entire plants (except the root area).
It is best to plant Bare Root Trees & Shrubs within 1-2 days after receiving them, but there are other methods in case you do not have time for immediate planting. If you have a cool moist area such as a basement or garage, leave the plants standing upright and leave plastic around the root system and water thoroughly a couple times a day (roots only). When you plant, it's always best to soak the roots, put water in the hole before planting (to add moisture in the deeper part of the soil before planting) and water again after planting. It's also advised to water each plant the first 4-5 days after it's planted and they should do well on their own after this. We also recommend using a good fertilizer in the Fall so when the spring comes again, your trees & shrubs will be beautiful and ready to thrive.
Perennials, Ferns & Ground Covers
When we must store perennials, ferns & groundcovers, we maintain a temperature of 38-42 degrees. Some nurseries use this year round and the plants will be fine for long periods of time without planting. This keeps them dormant. Also if your order is a small one and you have a crisper drawer in the bottom section of your refrigerator, place them in their bags in the crisper drawer. This provides an adequate temperature for these types of plants. If you do not have room for cold storage, put in your basement, garage or cellar and remove from bags. Cover with potting soil and mist lightly with water every couple days until you can plant them.
Wetland Plants & Live Stakes
If you have a pond, lake or large trough, place the roots of the plants in water and they will be fine for several days until planted. Ensure that if using your own container you keep fresh water, do not allow algea to grow or for the water to become stagnant. Change water every few days. When submersed in a pond or lake, nothing is needs to be changed, simply put roots in and the will actually grow while being stored until planted.
Seeds must be put in a dry area or placed in a refrigerator until planted. It is also advisable to check with your local USDA to check ideal storage requirements for a particular seed. Different zones and climates will dictate the best ways to store.

All our bare root stock is dug fresh to order
We dig our perennials then take them to our shipping warehouse and spray with wilt proof and then dip in terra sorb gel. Both are transparent and you can not see it but when you feel your bulbs, you will know the inside is in superior health being soft, full of moisture, and pliable. We wrap the roots (or place in plastic zip lock bags), for a short shipping period of 3-4 days the plastic seals in the moisture which is further needed for transit and we utilize peat most to aid in moisture retention.

We Pack To Protect Your Plants
Every plant we ship is dug fresh a day before shipment. We dig your order, take to the shipping warehouse and dip all roots in a moisture gel called Tera-sorb, and line the roots with paper. (In warmer months we use straw to keep the plants cool during transit, then wrap in heavy paper and containerize in corrugated pressure protectant cardboard boxes.) We band every box as well as tape to prevent damage during transportation.
What is Tera Sorb?
Terra Sorb is a super absorbent, potassium based co-polymer gel that drastically increases the water holding capacity of soil. It absorbs up to 200 times its weight in water and slowly releases it to nearby plants, perfect for transporting plants.
We take large tubs of Terra-sorb to the fields, dig your plants fresh, dip in terra sorb and take directly to the shipping warehouse and ship out the following day. We do not leave bare root plants in the cooler like alot of other nurseries, we dig our stock fresh and ship it. This insures that your plants will arrive in the best possible condition and will be much more likely to thrive than plants purchased at other nurseries which do not follow these steps.
