We ship all plants usps priority mail. They arrive to most locations within 2-3 days. We package all plants to retain moisture to up to 10 days in transit. All plants ships from our warehouses in Tennessee. All plants are grown and shipped from out Altamont (zip) 37301 location. We do drop ship for re-sellers also for those wanting to resell our plants.

How We Protect Your Plants For Transit

All plants are dug and immediately taken to our warehouse and tera-sorb moisture retention gel is applied to the roots and then wrapped in plastic to retain superior moisture for transit. They are placed in corogated cardboard shipping boxes for protection when shipped

Upon Receipt Of Your Plants

Upon receipt of your plants, unpack and unwrap the roots and mist with water. Plant within 24-48 hours. If you can not plant within this time frame, put your plants in a cool location (ex- basement, garage or cellar) and water the roots daily. Cover them back up with the plastic so they will not dry out until you can plant them. After planted, water every evening after the sun goes down for 5 days.

Dutchman's Breeches Plant will help accentuate more colorful flowers and plants in your garden.

Dutchman Breeches – Dicentra cucullaria. Dutchman Breeches is a perennial herbaceous plant that owes its common name to its white or pink flowers that resemble little breeches hanging upside down. Dutchman Breeches is native to the United States, and most populations occur in the eastern half of the country. Some communities, however, can be found in the Pacific Northwest. Dutchman Breeches generally blooms in the early spring, from March to April. It can grow in just about any type of light from the sun to shade. It does best in moist soils that are neutral or mildly acidic. It grows best in soils that resemble hummus, but it can tolerate limestone.

Dutchman's Breeches Plant is an early spring blooming plant.

It will flower in April or May depending on the climate. The upside-down flowers that hang from stems look like Dutchman's Breeches or trousers that were commonly worn by the Dutch. Dutchman's Breeches flowers are pale white on the inside and pale yellow on the outside. The flowers will attract bees and even butterflies to your garden. Its foliage is also attractive and looks grayish green. The Dutchman's breeches plant makes an excellent addition to flower gardens because of its unique flower shape and pale-yellow color. It is a low plant with attractive foliage as well that will look good around surrounding other flowers.

It is vulnerable to aphid infestation. This plant grows best in partial to full sun. Dutchman's Breeches is the same type as a bleeding heart. Dutchman's Breeches is a native plant to Nova Scotia and can also be found growing in North Carolina. This plant will grow great in soil that has medium moisture and well-drained soils. Dutchman's Breeches will bloom and will have long stems with white/pinkish blooms, and the flowers will resemble pantaloons. This plant can be found growing around streams, woodland areas, and valleys.
