It is true, however, that not all plants bloom early and for those wishing for beautiful flowers after a long winter can find waiting for the object of their desire excruciating. Happily though, daffodils and buttercups do exist. Daffodils are gorgeous plants that bloom early and do so in spectacular form.

Grown from bulbs, these showy perennials will greet you with brilliant and colorful blooms as they are, more often than not, the very first plants in your garden to blossom. Belonging to the Narcissus genre, daffodils come in a large variety of cultivars each showcasing beautiful flowers that grow easily and tolerate a wide variety of conditions. The variety known as buttercups are a must have for every gardener. Gardeners who need a reminder of the beauty and delight of the season to come will delight in the brilliant yellow blooms that shine as bright as sunlight produced by this dazzling cultivar. Combined with the dark green foliage of the plant, these are particularly striking and come highly recommended.

Daffodils should be a first choice for mass plantings, borders, raised beds, and anywhere else you desire a burst of sundrenched color. These wonders will produce trumpet like flowers and will do so for one to two weeks at a time.  when grown in combination with other early blooming plants. A further note about buttercups is that their brilliant yellow blooms are among the biggest flowers of any of the related cultivars.

Caring for these plants is as easy as they are gorgeous as all varieties of narcissus require little fuss. Best of all, the flowers of all the variants within the Narcissus genre make for brilliant cut flower arrangements due to their striking colors and size. Just remember as will all varieties, these plants do contain a strong poison that is concentrated in the bulbs and care should be taken to ensure the safeguarding of children and plants. Doing so will ensure that your plantings provide all the delight and beauty that these perennials are capable of.
