If you can imagine a lush, luxurious carpet of colorful blooms expanding in all directions, then you've just pictured the gorgeous Carpet Phlox. Its star-shaped, colorful, and fragrant flowers bloom in spring and spread over the ground like a carpet. The Carpet Phlox is a dependable perennial that can be easily planted in a hanging pot, its tendrils trailing delicately to the ground. The best part? Carpet Phlox is extremely easy to plant and maintain! With a simple trimming of the stems after they bloom, you can expect a second blossoming. Popular in all regions, Carpet Phlox is resistant to deer and will attract beautiful spring butterflies.

This phlox can be found thriving in the woodlands around the eastern portions of the United States. Its love of sunlight and low growth habit it often found growing in fields or around roads. It grows best where it escapes to cover of the forest. Spreading Phlox spreads through seeds but can reproduce through rhizomes. Plant around water features for an added touch.
