We dig plants when your order is received, and ship immediately via US Priority Mail. You will receive a tracking number via email when plants are shipped. All plants are packed to be safe in their packages for up to 3 days after receipt.
How We Protect Your Plants For Transit
We sell only bare root plants. For superior protection for plants in transit, we dip the roots in tera-sorb silicone gel to retain ample moisture for transit and surround with plastic.
Upon Receipt Of Your Plants
Open your plants, and inspect the same day received. You need to report any problems with your order within 3 days. Plant promptly - bare root plants need to be planted within 2-3 days unless there are weather issues. Keep roots moist and covered with plastic until they can be planted, and store in a cool place. Water daily for the first week after planting.

Carpet Moss – Hypnum curvifolium. Carpet Moss is an ideal ground cover for landscaping needs. It produces a dense, green “carpet,” which helps to prevent soil erosion and acts as a land beautifier. It is one of the 20 Hypnum species in the United States, and it grows well in moist climate areas, as well as near forested areas. It is an ideal accessory to compliment flower arrangements, and it has serrated-type stalks. This plant produces both sexually and asexually, making it versatile. In addition to growing over the soil, it will also grow over rocks, and fallen or decayed wood.
Carpet Moss is a Low Growing, No Maintenance Plant
This moss as tall as an inch high with a very hairy appearance; Carpet grow in large clumps but can grow in sheets. Carpet Moss is low maintenance but has specific areas to grow and can’t grow outside of those areas. This plant can grow on most soils and even some rocks and wood as it remains shaded and moist. Carpet Moss has shallow roots and cannot damage by walking on it.
They are most commonly found under trees and in shady areas. This moss can have bright green color to it, but as it ages it will turn a dark brown. The edges of the leaves are serrated and look parallel to each other as they grow. This moss can reproduce with both a male/female or by itself. Carpet moss gets its name because it closely looks similar to carpet. Carpet Moss is small, green, soft, and bushy. The carpet moss resembles the old timely shag carpet because of the way it fluffs. This moss grows in clumps and has shallow roots. It grows low to the ground and does not require any maintenance once planted. The carpet moss is low lying so that it covers an area in no time with its fast-growing, spreading shag.
