Silver Maple Seedlings - Acer Saccharinum

The Silver Maple Seedling is named for the beautiful, silver shimmering effect created when the breeze rustles its leaves, exposing their silvery underside. Its bark is also a silver-gray color. Silver Maple Seedling is a fast-growing deciduous tree provides quick shade and reaches a height of 50 to 80 feet. Hardy in Zones 3-9, Silver Maple Seedling requires full sun to partial shade and prefers moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. It produces small flowers in early spring and pairs of three-inch winged seeds in late spring. The silver maple's leaves change to a showy red in the fall, and this adaptable, durable tree will be a beautiful asset to your lawn or landscape.

A whimsical and effortlessly beautiful tree is the Silver Maple Seedlings

Why is it called silver? The name comes from the magical underbelly of each leaf that shimmers a silvery-white color while the top of the blade remains green. This tall tree offers a tremendous amount of shade for all who walk among it during those hot summer days. The bark starts out gray and ages gracefully by developing thick bark strips that reach towards the sky as time moves forward. Owning a magnificent tree of this nature doesn't require a significant amount of work as one would expect. It only needs one proper pruning a year during the summer months.

Silver Maple Seedlings will proliferate into gorgeous maple trees.

These are the fastest growing maple tree and can grow at a rate of 6 feet or more per year. They are a perfect size tree for smaller lawns and smaller spaces. They are very hardy and easy to grow since they will adapt well to many different soil types, as long as there is moisture and good drainage available. They require very little maintenance.
