Berry Garden Collection- So Affordable and Excellent for fundraisers. No one wants the chocolate anymore, opt for healthier natural choices! Do you want to start your berry garden? The berry garden collection can give you a way to grow your berries all from one package and allows you to have a small orchard all at once. This package contains three strawberry plants and three dewberry plants. The strawberries can come in a vine or bush fern. The strawberry bush is more common and can be seen more often because it can grow up to 5 feet tall and 4 feet wide. It has small green foliage with medium-sized red berries. Each berry starts out as white, green and will turn bright red when it is ripe. It can be picked by the handfuls when they are ripe and ready to eat. Strawberry bushes can be planted in small hills or rows.
Dewberry plants are medium growers because they can grow up to 48 inches tall and 36 inches wide. Each plant has dark green foliage which has a white bloom that will show in early spring to summer. It can be pruned down or let grown wild, but if left not trimmed it can quickly take over an area in a short period. These berries are black or blue and lovely to the taste. They can grow up to 2 inches long. It does the best in partial sun to full sun. These berry collections are a great money saver.
When planting a berry garden collection make sure to space the varieties of plants at least three feet apart from each other; This will provide them with ample room to grow as they mature. If you have enough yard and garden space to accommodate a five-foot space between each plant, this will eliminate the need to cut back as they grow continually. Many berry plants can also be grown in large containers. The top three berry varieties that grow well in most US zones are the raspberry, blueberry, and blackberry. Be sure to take into consideration the thorns that grow on raspberry and blackberry bushes. Blackberry bushes do best with partial sun and partial shade. Blueberry bushes do best in partial sun, and partial shade and raspberry bushes do best in full sun. If planting young shrubs expect a two year wait time before the shrubs are mature enough to produce fruit.
