Monarda Didyma, Bee Balm 

Bee Balm can be planted in spring and fall. It has spiral or twisted blossoms that come in purple, blue, white, red, or pink. It leaves have the scent of spiced orange. It is tough plant and does well in vegetable herb or flower gardens. Bees are attracted to it and its a wonderful companion for plants that need pollinating like squash. This plant attracts butterflies and hummingbirds too. It is a perennial and will come back every year. It has a minty smell and makes a great tea. When planted with herbs companion plants are basil, parsley, thyme, and chives. Looks best in center of a herb garden surrounded by shorter herbs. Often shipped in small pots.
